As part of National Volunteering Week and with the help of Waterways Ireland, a canal clean-up event is being organised along the Royal Canal.  This project is one of almost 20 similar projects happening across Ireland during National Volunteering Week, under the theme of National Inland Waterways Clean Up.

Book Launch of Sharing for Survival

The book, a collection by 6 authors, explores how we can respond to the challenge of climate change through sharing. Feasta's Bruce Darrell will host the event and John Jopling and Caroline Whyte, two of the authors, will talk about their work.

The Funky Seomra

Imagine yourself on a night out in a vibrant, ecstatic atmosphere where you're free to dance anyway you like without limitations, to the lush beats of funky music from around the globe.  

The Funky Seomra was born at Cultivate in September 2008.  Preceeding the Funky Seomra at Cultivate was Being Human: Meditative Healing Dance that in turn was inspired by Matthew Fox's Techno Cosmic Mass. Cultivate ran Being Human events from 2005 - 2009, integrating the arts, Yoga, mandalas, labyrinths, meditation and other practices with dance at the core of this celebration of humanity and consciousness.  It would later become Kick-Start, the multi-workshop dance-focused event.
