Renewable city - A comprehensive guide to urban renewal by Peter Droege

Renewable City is a book about how cities will need to be in the future. It covers all we need to know about where we will get our energy from in the post fossil fuel age.
It address’ arguments, myths, crisis’ and provides answers, clarity and comprehensive renewable energy solutions, charting what we need to do to move away from fossil fuel and nuclear dependency, i.e. unsustainable resourses to sustainable resourses.
This is all thouroughly communicated in a consise, clear and accessible way, with each section naturally flowing into the next. The author is highly qualified, holding professional positions at many universities and the chair of the World Council for Renewable Energy.
This book would be highly useful to any city, town or village planner or to developers wishing to move to a sustainable framework.
As a member of the Cultivate community, I am more exposed than most lay people to the sustainable ethos. I found this book the perfect step to envisaging the massive shift from industrial fossil fuel based cities to renewable cities we must undergo. It is a valuable resource for communicating sustainability.
