Exploring new opportunities for jobs and enterprise in rural Ireland

Green Works Tipperary Hub in association with Village Education, Research and Training present an introduction to the business and job prospects of the green economy. Green Works is a nationwide education programme, offering free courses to jobseekers, with a focus on upskilling the workforce for the growing opportunities within Ireland's Green Economy. As part of Green Works you can avail of a large variety of themed courses, FETAC certificates, workshops, work placements, lectures, networking and much more.
This half-day event will begin with a presentation demystifying the ‘green economy’ and an outline of the Green Works training programme for job seekers. This will be followed with an exploration of potential business and employment opportunities for rural Ireland through a tour of Cloughjordan Ecovillage. The focus will be on tourism, food, agriculture, energy, construction and community enterprise. The session will end in Cloughjordan House with a glass of wine.
